Hi, I'm Margie (with a hard "g") Woods.

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Inspired by my photographer dad, I spent much of my childhood following him around with a camera in hand, learning how powerful a photograph can be. I became fascinated with photographing people at an early age, and that fascination followed me through high school, into adulthood, eventually leading me to start my portrait photography business in 2010.

What I love most about photography isn't actually taking the photos. It's connecting with people.

I know that being photographed can feel awkward, intimidating, or like something you'd rather avoid altogether. That's why I've built my approach around making the experience relaxed, easy, and enjoyable. No stiff poses. No forced smiles. Just a comfortable experience that allows your personality to come through naturally and helps you feel at ease in front of the camera.
